What you will do:
- Connect wallet
- Add funds
- Open your first position
Step 1 - Connect your wallet
Click Connect in the top right corner.
Screen: Header connect + access options
app.hyperliquid.xyz/trade Open Hyperliquid and click Connect
Open Hyperliquid and click Connect in the header.
Connect wallet modal with available access options.
You can use:
- MetaMask
- WalletConnect
- Email (auto-created wallet)
Step 2 - Add funds
Recommended: deposit via card (fastest way)
Card top-up flow for fast account funding.
Start with a small amount (e.g. $10)
If you already have crypto:
Deposit USDC from your wallet
On-chain deposit with asset, network, and amount fields.
If you choose wallet deposit, select:
- Asset: USDC
- Network: Arbitrum
Step 3 - Switch to Perps
This is where you open trades (Long / Short)
Screen: Market selector
Switch market mode from Spot to Perps.
Click the market ticker at the top of the interface.
Switch from Spot to Perps.
→ The trading panel will now show Buy / Sell (Long / Short).
Step 4 - Open your first position
Choose Buy / Long and open a small position

Start small (e.g. $5-10)
In the trading panel:
- Select Buy / Long
- Set position size
- Click Place Order
Step 5 - Track your position
Open the Positions tab at the bottom
Screen: Positions tab
Active position with entry price and live PnL.
You will see:
- Your position
- Entry price
- Real-time PnL
You’ve completed your first trade
You have:
- Connected your wallet
- Added funds
- Opened a position
- Entered the market
